Swiss born singer-songwriter Jacky Woodridge who had substantial success in Switzerland / Austria & Germany during the early 90ies  first American  County & Rock'n'Roll popularity-wave,  has been living  on the Island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean for over 15 years.

2015 got called back to  Switzerland to perform as special guest with the  well known Zurich based group  'Rusty Nuggets' which lead to her flying back to Switzerland  again and again to perform with her own band as well. In 2016 Dimoon Productions Mauritius released her  Single & Video 'Beach Bum Country Girl' recorded in Mauritius.  Jacky's  new Album  'Under the Sun' followed for release in 2017, containing  island-life inspired compositions as well as tribute to her old home town Zurich - with the track 'Sweet Home Zurigo' a Swiss German version of 'Sweet Home Chicago' ,  a  humorous traditional country swing style track 'Non of My X's' as well as traditionals like Jambalaya and Take Me Home Country Roads arranged  in new island style.

1989, based in Switzerland,  Jacky had  founded her Band SuperCountry together with acclaimed British  Rock'n'Roll star Jimmy Duncombe (who toured with the Beatles, the Kinks a.o. and had European hits with Jimmy & The Rackets, such as 'Skinny Minny', 'Black Eyes' and 'Oh My Soul' in the sixties/seventies) their  mix styles from Traditional Country over  Rock'a'Billy to Everly Brothers they had great success far across the national borders.

SuperCountry had released  4 albums  which had rapidly sold out due to their popularity.

In beginning  Jacky und Jimmy were mainly aktive  Europe (Switzerland, Germany, Austria and England) but then  they travelled back and forth between Country Music Mekka   Nashville, Tennessee and Switzerland... sharing two home bases .   click here for festival/concert references.

Jacky's composition  'Take It Easy' reached  the top of Radio DRS Schlagerbarometer, just als Jacky & Jimmy were in  London, England.
And Jacky and Jimmy were invited to many Radio and TV broadcasts such as  the first 'Country Roads live TV Show',  'Live von der Bea' or  'Traum Paar'.

After  10 years  of success, Jimmy und Jacky went separate ways; Jimmy Duncombe  kept the Band 'SuperCountry' und Jacky continued performing with her  'Jacky Woodridge Band'.  With her  repertoire combining Modern Country, Traditionals, Country-Rock and Americana 'the blond tornado'  (as she was lovingly called by a voice of the press) Jacky continued to capture  her public.  See statements/comments such as from the Country Night Gstaad. Shortly after, Jacky settled on the paradise island of Mauritius. During her maternity-break,  Jacky continued  to be creative, wrote new song material, and animated musical activities for children.. then got together with Mauritian musicians and diversified a little inspired by the sunny styles and creole heritage of the island.
It goes without saying, that Jacky never forgot her Country-Rock'n'Roll roots. Jacky Woodridge is now back on the scene - in  Mauritius as well as with tours in Switzerland / Europe.
